Like he said both are good but I do prefer when you narrate it as you go and show up close without music. Seems more educational to me and easier to follow

Love a good engine build. I personally enjoy the finicky little tricks when it comes to clearances and assembly. The little things that when aren't done right, can ruin a build.. That helps us novices big time!

I love watching your videos. Eventually i will have an LS engine for my 80 Camaro. I would really like to see you build and engine and then let us hear one of them running. I hope to see that soon. I am new to your channel, and love it!!

For those who already know what your doing hi speed vid is great.. for those who don’t have a clue what your doing it sucks but looks cool. I want to see more on that crank pulley installer .. trick tool Never seen 1 before. I’m trying to find out more info on where you found those ls3 roller rockers . Nice set up . Like to see what it would cost for my LM7 .

Also id like to recommend a product, and you may already know of this stuff. Eastwood Ceramic engine paint is some great engine paint, works best with an epoxy primer base. Super easy to work with also..

I wouldnt ever critique your videos but since you asked for opinions.. I like the editing how you do it, either way is great. I REALLY like the time lapse with no music, as you can hear every little sound of what you are working on, which is different than most edits. BUT, the music playing with time lapse isnt bad either! Maybe a mix of both? I know its time consuming editing these vids, and you do great videos👍

Is there a reason you used two different size bearings on the rods? Being a machinist for over 10 years....., i know that throws those bearing clearances out of round right off the bat.... I'm currently building the same style motor but for my 6th gen camaro. If you twist that dial bore gauge 90* either direction from straight up and down with two different size bearings in the journal, it wont read the same. At the point were those bearings meet, there will be a difference in size and it wont wear correctly and have oil pressure issues. Great video and build, i just dont understand why you didnt use the correct size bearings to get the correct tolerance.

Silly question. When you take a 6.0 block and bore it out you call it a LS3. I guess what's confusing to me is does the 6.0 actually become an LS3? I mean is the block now exactly the same as an LS3?
@Dookamonnnn
@Dookamonnnn 11 ай бұрын
Yeah pretty much
@dennisz494
@dennisz494 10 ай бұрын
I believe the only difference is the bore size but not sure. If it is not the same then the LS3 would have to be a few mm longer than the LS2. I know that not all LS blocks are the same as you can not bore an LS3 into an LS7 or the walls between cyclinders would be too thin. You can bore it and add stroke but that is the only way you can make a 6.2 into a 7.0, so the same might be said for the length of the block of a 6.0. @@Dookamonnnn
