This week we get to work on our 6x6 Ford ranger! We got ADV fiberglass pre-runner fenders a pre-fabricated steel bumper from eBay Motors and did an insane amount of weight reduction and reinforcement.
We are going to build a custom flatbed for this pre-runner 6 x 6 and much more in the next few episodes! This truck is going to be the ultimate off roader when we are done!

You really have to appreciate how well the original builder built the thing. Some 6x6 conversions are all show, this was if it works whatever. This thing was probably done for spare change compared to some, but is already a badass unit for a starting point.

@Beau Mershon some were in the early 2000; it took us some time. The truck was passed through the family prior to us building it. The person who we bought it from got two DUI in 24 hr. He was running from the police slid off the road on the ice. He Hit a tree, He then tried to get it unstuck. The bumper hood radiator all damaged. tranny leaking all over the place. it was not a runner when we got it. Our intention was to hunt with it. We had several hunting buggies at the time. When we got all the work done to it, thats we found out that the tranny was bad. He didn't tell us it was bad, but later, we found out differently. For a small town shop we sunk a lot of money into it. The front end was rebuilt to accommodate the 35-inch tires. We were told by the 4x4 shop in our town that we could put the whole thing together with the 37. But later, we found out. That the gear ratio would not work. Our understanding is that if we didn't put the 35 on the front , we would blow the tranny or t-case. So the 4x4 shop, they reworked the front differential. Be careful with swapping tires. We have huge swamps up here. We did not plan on running it but in low range. We were told by the 4x4 shop that if we horses it up too much, we would smoke something. The old man, as he was referred to. Decided not to take it out. It just sat in the yard for about ten years. It was in the local parades a few times. I think it was the local paper. Everyone in town is new who built it. Have fun with it. It right know is the talk of the town. You might want to mention his name in the vidoe. He has about five hundred relatives in the here small town. He was well respected and well loved by many. He would help out a guy in the middle of the night In a rain storm.. ask me I know. His name was Danny Mahan love to build all kinds of stuff. We built over hundred boats in his shop. From fiber glass to aluminum. It's a complete metal fabrication shop. With breaks, plate shears, iron worker punches and ten different kinds of welding machines. Just to give you a backround.

I lifted my Volvo 945 with hockey pucks in the rear, and in the front I cut and lengthened the struts. Back then I was one of a handful people who had lifted a Volvo, today it's become popular so there's a lot of people who have done it now. If it wasn't for inspections and laws here in Sweden I would've gone crazy and built a pre-runner out of it with doubled suspension travel and such.
