As an older woman. I don’t always understand the logistics of what you doing, but I enjoy watching you take raw materials and build something useful. Reminds me of my dad. He was just a farmer with a high school education but he could build almost anything he needed for the farm. Whatch you with the hand truck made me remember that he made his own hand truck he use the wheels from and old lawnmower. My uncle said it would never work but 65 years later I still use it. It’s much sturdier and useful than what you can but in a store today.

What first caught my attention to your content, was your early fabrication videos. The farming content was the bonus. Farmer Tyler Ranch is a great round out of fab, farming and family. Thanks for all your hard work and creativity. Best wishes for 2025 to the "Tyler" family and fans!

Have you considered getting a hydraulic top link? I think that you might get the vertical angle you need, depending on the length of the hydraulic ram and cylinder. I have one on my tractor and it allows me to change angles while in the cab of my tractor. Sure cuts out all of the in and out of the cab to adjust the screw on the old top link for each implement I use. Also I notice that you have draft control on your 3 point hitch. If you change the connection point of the your top link to the tractor it will change how high your top link will lift. Very important too when plowing and discing. Check out your owners manual on which hole to connect your top link.

Nice work on another project. If you ever want a easy project that you will likely appreciate every time you go to the shop, and have an hour or two, trim up the scrub around that tree to the left of the shop entrance and maybe the branch hanging low over the roof. Just a suggestion for ever if you want a change of pace. I understand you probably have your hands full most days just getting all the have-to things done.
excellent bit of thought and analysis to get the travel required. You could look at moving the top link mount plates to push the post away from the tractor a little bit to give you the same bottom position using the middle hole.

You can solve the geometry problem by getting a hydraulic top link...I had a bale unroller I bought from Everything Attachments that worled good. You might go on line and look at how their's is built
@jasonlangstraat3385Ай бұрын
Just a reminder, you are picking up the bales from the center height, so theoretically your 3 point attachment only needs to move 3 feet on a 6 foot bale. Otherwise the build looks great, keep up the awesome work!
@thomasheaney2087Ай бұрын
Excellent thanks
@Alfred19947Ай бұрын
Fascinating video FT. Ingenious design and fabrication. When you started talking about building a bale unroller I started shopping them. I think the least expensive was a three point unroller from John Deere at $1600. Bet you aren’t into it for nearly that much. Good stuff.

U need to make sure u patent ur final design, especially since it will be a universal fit. It looks like it's coming together quite nicely.
@tsl7881Ай бұрын
These are common. He could have cheated and took measurements off of the one he patterned his after. This he is getting a custom fit though.

You might consider mounting a cylinder for your 3rd top link for use everyday. That's what we do.
@toddcaskey9984Ай бұрын
My 3 cents is / are make sure u can use with the 8N & your other newholand , isn't that a loaner for a year or so ? Just my thoughts of course . It might just mean a bigger plate with 6 holes in it and another 2 lower pins holder . Great job of corse oh an other brilliant idea 💡 make a drawing of what your thinking , if like me have your daughter draw it for ya 🤪

Contrary to what you might think, this DID look like a days work. In a couple of shots it was apparent just how hefty this piece was - even before you lifted it onto the hand truck. I’m so happy with YOUR success - no “we”, FTR.

If you want to save some time cutting out your brackets, I just started sending my drawings to a place in Reno that laser cuts everything. My current project the steel was going to cost me $20 per part at the local steel supplier. I had multiple cuts and slots in it all delivered to my door for $30 per part.
@leeprice2380Ай бұрын
Hello Tyler, You are a talent fabricator.On the one tab it fit right on ,on the other one you had to beat it on . Yes you got it on but there is stress in the radius of the tab now .when you try using it adding hydraulic pressure to lift with it will add more stress. I see you tacked welded it in place but you may want to remove it and make the opening just a few thousands bigger so it fits without having to drive it on..with the stress in the metal it may crack sometime on you in the future if you don't ,, ...I look forward to your videos each day .
