Very well done and so interesting. I'm flying almost 39 years and I've never built a plane but I can do repairs. After watching this video it has wet my appetite to maybe give this a try one day. Thanks for sharing.

39 years, wow that’s great. You should look at the Sinbad Mini I built, was my first ever build. kzbin.info/aero/PLeaOXQvXxXNdWnhGdB06SU_cA3Mq4t-zz&si=QKdIJqLkOaxZMzwV Was my first time covering as well, it’s great to still have fun with planes when it’s too wet and windy to fly. Have a great week ahead 👍🏻

Happy Friday Chris! How is your weather? 😊 hot 🔥 here again 😅 but at least we can fly during this weather 😊

You lucky sod Victor, we just have rain and wind, typical autumn. We may have the random no rain and wind days, just need to get out and fly when they do. Have a fun week buddy. 😀

Great start to a very cool model, Chris! Re: the aliphatic resin bottle - you just twist the upper 10mm part of the cap to open. That raises the tip and enables the glue to ooze out. Turn it back the other way to close.
@DadsRCHangar3 ай бұрын
I did twist, but i think i might have a blockage, will have a look today, i am hoping to get a few hours In the Hangar. I am enjoying building again, but time is always against me, or just pooped when I get back from work. I hope you having fun. 🫡

That jig is worth the effort to put it together you won't regret it.

It’s great Mark, I have noticed that the top of the right angle holders pull back away from the model slightly, almost need a rubber band across two, one either side to pull them close, if that makes sense. Just catching up with your build, you are indeed a build demon. You will have enough planes soon to open a shop 😃

@@DadsRCHangar if you check out my videos I use rubber bands to hold the right angles lin at the top.

Absolutely brilliant chris, nothing better than being in the shed in autumn/winter building. To solve the issue of moisture inside the fuzz I would personally use gorilla wood glue as I think it's brilliant, I wouldn't score the balsa as there's risk of weakening it and I would give the whole job one coat of yacht varnish internally as that will protect the wood and the glued joints. Excellent tho and looking forward to next week's video as always.
@DadsRCHangar3 ай бұрын
That’s a good idea, the glue I am using is great, but takes too long to dry. Will have a look at the gorilla glue. Thank you for following the build. Have a fun week ahead. 👍🏻
@Bareknuckleflying.3 ай бұрын
@DadsRCHangar gorilla wood glue is superb and cheap from a model building perspective. Balsa wood will soak up moisture like a sponge that's why I'd look at protecting everything. See you Friday at the other end of the TV.

@@DadsRCHangar Chris I've noticed from your build and Gina's build that the kit is pretty much all laid out except for the shaping of the wings and other sanding. Cheers.

@@JeffinLowerAlabama Heya Jeff, sorry what do you mean laid out, as in the drawing?
@JeffinLowerAlabama3 ай бұрын
@@DadsRCHangar The laser cut parts all fit very well and you still have to shape some balsa in the build. You don't have to be a Master Builder to build the planes.

@JeffinLowerAlabama Oh I see, yea this not a scratch build, I am not at that stage yet, still some complex things to do. Maybe one day 😀
