It's always encouraging to me to see how well you keep up your property. And of course you don't want to be hunting up cattle miles away!

You guys always seem to have it all planned out, which is a great way to do anything. That's a lot of work.

We live on the edge of the Yorkshire wolds in the UK. Your landscape is very similar to ours except we've got chalk underneath. Looks a lovely place to work. Thanks for the video. All the best 🇬🇧.

Building fence is alot more "fun?" when it's nice and cool!! No fun when it's hot!! Spring is a good time of the year to make fence. Thanks 😅.

Howdy, I hope ya'll are doing well, Fencing is not one of the favorite jobs on the Farm, but when we had to dig the fence posts holes by hand, I really like our fence pole digger better, we have the one your using, we also had one that had a lever on it, you would use it the way, but when you scooped the dirt out of the hole, you pulled the handle, and lifted the dirt out, kinda like a bucket on a track hoe, that made it more fun, before I was old enough to run our wheel loader/track hoe and dozer, and our other tractors, I had our fence pole digger, made me feel like I was running a track hoe, but than I was only 8/9 years old lol another great video, Thank you for sharing it, Stay safe, God Bless and Farm on my Friends

You'll have a well-built fence when the posts are set and the barb strung!!! When I was managing a cow-calf farm we built a lot of fence...woven wire for the perimeter and barbed wire for the divider runs. Not an easy job, but prevented a lot of cattle and calf escapes.

Like how George said he probably wouldn't have to do this again in his lifetime. I'm with you on that. Pretty probable Aaron will have a go at it next.

Crossbow and Remedy, sprayed every year or so, will keep the fences clean, and make for less repairs because of the woody growth. The next generation better be saving their $ to buy an Extreme Driver. No tamping, and some models vibrate the posts in. They stand like set in concrete. Great video! Y'all definitely have PHD's. Just no paperwork to show it. And not just Post Hole Diggers.

We had a tamper to packer the dirt in a post hole. It was a steel rod about 1.5 inches in diameter and about 6 foot long with a hockey puck style pad welded on the bottom. Worked great to pack the but also saved the ends of the shovel handle.

we milked 120 reg. holsteins, sold them in 2005, row crop 3000 acres of corn, beans, and wheat. tore out a lot of fence. took some steel posts to the sale a couple of weeks ago and got 6.25 a post

Have you ever tried a post pounder for your skid steer. No need to drill just pound the post. Some will even pound a rail road tie.

See if you can find a used gas power ice auger. Works great for 8" fence posts. Definitely want 2 guys on it if you hit a rock.

People don’t realize how tight you can get a post simply by putting in a little dirt at the time and tamping it with shovel handle!!
