I visited some people once who put white sand just in the shallow swim area of their pond. It was AMAZING. You could see right to bottom clear as a bell. I figured Ohio ponds were a bit murky but no its just the muddy bottom. The kids felt so safe in it and you could see little schools of minnows swimming about.

Well the rain washed a lot out so we just keep up with it every other month or so.
