After watching all 5 episodes i just had to subscribe...standimg at 1.02K subscribers reckon you doing something right...as you say its just you doing what you do...Keep it up mate plain simple.yet effective...Im sure with more exposure this channel is surely gonna grow leaps and bounds...Dont get caught up with the big channels hype most of them do much work behind the scene and show just the glits and glamour...I enjoy watching this build as we were brought up with Dune buggys Baja Bugs and so many other kit cars here in Sunny South Africa 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

Nice work Neil, been watching your videos with interest over the last few weeks and really impressed! Regarding the repro parts not fitting, I've been told that it's due to the dies wearing and not being maintained properly. I've got some Beetle repair panels from the late 80s and they're much better, crisper and dimensional accurate, than the early 2010s ones made by the same company! Anyway, as long as those magnesium 12 spokes get fitted to the buggy, I'll be well happy!

That would seem to be a universal problem; having to modify aftermarket parts, to get them to fit, properly.

I could tell you're using CO2 and Argon mix by looking at the beads, by the sound and the (lack of) splatter. Nice kit :thumbsup:

Loveing following this project Neil. I have always fancied a Bug, but as you know life/wife gets in the way. I am now 61, Single! But quite disabled through arthrities. I never had the skill sets to be able to build one from scratch myself. It would have to have been a finished project apart from the tinkering bits. Funnily enough there was one came up for sale last week, also in gold metelflake. I mailed the seller as soon as i saw the add. But not surprisingly it had already been sold. Following your build is the next best thing. I know yours will look a million dollers when done. 😎🏴‍☠

Just asking but the piece seems to be able to flip 180° and looks to be ambidextrous or am I wrong not sure thank you

Not quite - the ends are shaped to support the floor pans on one side. Not totally sure about the orientation of the master cylinder either, they'd need to be measured up.
