I have both the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black and a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Slim and Noctua NH-U12S Chromax and found that for some reason the Cooler Master one was the most difficult and couldn't figure out why. Then I bought the Hyper 212 Black Edition RGB which shipped with a far better fan mounting bracket with a better fan that's both quieter and provides more efficient cooling.

@@DawidDoesTechStuff this is super helpful. I’ve been wanting to upgrade to a modern build and I want it to be a pretty quiet system. You mentioned it was about the quietest system you’ve built in a while but how did it sound? Was it dulcet or sound like a Smurf was being tortured (hard to hear but irritating)? Current build is an i7-4770, 16 gb RAM, RTX 2060 FE, cooler master HAF case and Hyper 212 cooler. I changed the front fan to a noctua recently as it was getting noisy. Still too much sound, ended up sticking it behind a flat screen tv and using a wireless Xbox controller for gaming.

BeQuiet is one of my favorite brands. I have their PSU, case and additional fans inside. They work really quietly and well and are much cheaper than Noctua, for example.

Still rocking the silent base 800 to avoid the common glass side panels. Seems like right after they started doing it to most available cases so I felt pretty lucky and have kept it since. Instead of leaving it plain I've been sticker bombing it over the years while it went through multiple upgrades. Was happy to see a brand I personally liked sponsor a video! GIVE DAWID MORE MONEY!

@@kevin3495+ My friend built his own with a 5600X and a 3060. It's good enough but 3060 is starting to be the recommended gpu for the newest games. I myself built mine with the 12600K and a 3080. Thankfully gpu prices dropped a bit so i was able to lower my budget.

I used to think sound dampening in a PC was a bit of who hah. But after using it many years ago, the abolition of coil whine, high pitched frequencies and general fan noise etc makes me grateful I use it in all my builds where possible! 🥰🥰

Sound bounces; the sound dampening on the back panel is actually usefull, it dampens it as opposed to redirecting it out in other directions. Great video. Cheers.

My GF's case , I bought it in June, 2021 for about 95 euros. A breeze to work with. On the other hand , I own a Be Quiet Silent Base 802 (you should try that as well). While it's bigger (that's what she said), it's a pain in the ass for cable management, especially if you've got extension cables. Get it, and you'll see what I mean. The interchangeable panels tho, the ease of use for the rest of it, airflow etc, are awesome. :) As always, your work is absolutely awesome! You need more subsssssssssss

This is my case expect in white, it was exceptionally easy to build, the finish quality is great and it’s very cool and silent. It’s also very easy to service and clean as it has great air filters everywhere.

Finally building PCs again. I finally got a PC built too. That was fun. Started with a Dell optiplex and a gt710, then a gt1030. Then I built a PC with a rog strix b550-f gaming motherboard, Ryzen 5 5600g 32gigs of ram running at 3200mhz, and a gtx 1070 founders. Changed that for a gtx 1070ti. Then bought a brand new RTX 3060 12gig. I literally climbed the GPU ladder lol.

About the Case, there is a RGB Strip hidden in the Top, also besides controlling it from Software the Case has some build-in RGB Effects that can be selected with one of the Front Switches.

That is the case from my first build. Great case, easy to build in, decent RGB that is there but not too flashy and 3 140MM fans which is crazy for a case at that price. Also enough room (barely) to fit a Kingpin 3090 with front mounted radiator.

@@johngaynor4363 Nope, all 3 are 140mm. They do this intentionally to provide more airflow at lower RPM so it can live up to the brand name.

Loved the 500DX, was my first real case after ascending from prebuilts. A month ago, after 4 years of use, I replaced it with a Silent Base 802 and got myself my first 360mm liquid cooler with it, the EK Nucleus CR360. Love this case even more.

Pure Base 500DX is the case I current have. Love it. I think I spent more time deciding on case than any of the other components. I have always had massive cases but this case has plenty of room. I like the contacts for the front. I installed a 360 rad in the front and moved the 3rd fan to the top to give the other one a friend. I like that the front dust filter can be pulled out without taking off the front panel. 3 easy to access and clean filters keep the inside clean while still having good airflow and still being quiet (who would have thunk).

I got this case for my first real PC build and I think its great apart from one thing, the cable management bar. This is the first video which used a thick 24 pin power cable and showed how it can be made to go through that 90 degree cable management bar (routed it to the bottom corner), so thank you Dawid you helped me avoid buying a cablemod. P.S: avoid a mATX board with this case, you'll have to route your USB cables right up against that bar and they will also get in the way of your power cable.

I used the same white version of this case for my sisters PC. Pressing the RGB config button for 3 to 5 seconds enables a 'lock'. Configured it on pink, which my sister hates, saw her struggle for 5 minutes to get it undone :-) ... It's indeed a nice case to build in, and really silent...

Those Tuf cards are great when it comes to cooling and noise. Even on my oced Tuf 3080 Ti I can not hear anything on the quiet bios even under full load at 350 watts and temps rarely even hit 70.

In my latest (and first) build I went for a 500DX combined with a Dark Rock Pro 4 and I absolutely love how quiet it is. Even under high load it keeps my 5900X at a solid 65°C without making a sound. Absolutely jaw-dropping

I've had this case for about a year. I built a beast into this case, msi MEG x570 Ace, 5800x, rx 6800xt midnight ed, Samsung gen4 m.2 ssd, Arctic 280mm AIO. It looks amazing, clean and blacked out with subtle lighting from the case shining on a few polished metal accents. Very easy to work with and high quality components. Only complaint (which is not unique to this case) is that if the rear and top are populated with 140mm fans, the power cable for the cpu is a very snug fit, especially if, as in my case, the cpu has 2 connectors. Otherwise, a fantastic build experience.

Be Quiet is probably my favorite component manufacturer at the moment. I tend to like Cooler Master cases more, but everything else in my personal build is Be Quiet.

Same, my gaming/editing pc is fully made from Be Quiet and my older multimedia/server pc is made from Be quiet mixed with Cooler Master. Both good value, not the cheapest but both good quality! (Especially Be Quiet!)

I built my pc with the same case. I used the BeQuiet silent loop 360mm AIO. I like the subtle lighting on the water block and the radiator can easily be topped off if the water level gets low.

I bought this case for my first PC build in like 20 years and could not be happier with it. My only wish was that the front strip RGB was addressable, but it syncs well to addressable with the various options. Dropped two additional 140mm so I’ve got two front, two top, and one rear with a BeQuiet! Cooler and it’s still whisper quiet! Glad to see Dawid review it! [Edit: The case IS addressable RGB and I stand corrected. The Dawid watchers assist again!]

I made a similar build a few days ago, and I can say that this case has ARGB, did you try holding the RGB button on the front of the case for 3 seconds and connected the ARGB cable to your motherboard or ARGB controller? It works great with my Razer Chroma ARGB controller and the effects looks awesome.
