@@ruthtrips7391 about how long is that space? Ford says the trunk with the 2nd row seats folded down is about 73 cubic ft. Height is about 34.5in, width is about 45.3in, so is the length about 80 inches???

I see a lot of Aliner campers doing that too, I like the idea of having more space as a “living room” and the instant tents are so easy to set up 😊

Hi Ruth, Just wondering if you would now make any modifications to your original design given that you have tried it out? How did you determine the thickness at the foot of your platform to compensate for the seats not laying flat? And do you have a link for the fan with the light integrated? Thanks much

Thanks for watching! I thought it worked just great the way it is. As for the foot height I just eyed it, I used the 2x4” I had on hand and it was good, I could have put a level on it but I didn’t want to loose any more head room than necessary.

Hi David, that is a camp mat I bought at Costco. I also added a thick yoga mat and a thin memory foam pad when I actually went camping. Worked great!

Question... On my Edge, the passenger side front seat folds down flat... Also, How does the Edge do pulling the A-Liner? I have a 2011 Limited Edge just bought. Has the bigger engine, but NOT a tow package. I can put on aftermarket hitch and max is 2000 lbs towing...do you have tow package on your edge?? How about your dog....???

I wish my seats folded down flat! My Edge came with the factory tow package and can tow up to 3500 lbs. my Aliner is only about 1300 so it does great! It’s nice to be able to camp using either method 😊 car or trailer.
