It will still fold, it will be a little harder to maneuver with bigger wheels though lol and might want to fall over I'd imagine depending on how much larger they are than the original wheels lol

Can you tell me more about the Spring, axle and wheels you used? Some links would be great. I have thought about using the harbor freight trailer but want to upgrade to 5 lug 235/75/15's like I have on my Element already. So just looking for some advice and if you want to put that info in a video your workin on that would also be great! Thanks man and great job!

I got the springs from compactcampingstore.com/collections/compact-camping-frame-parts I went with the 3 leaf version of them. You can also get custom axles from them with the correct lug pattern that you want. That is nice because you choose how wide you want the axle so you can run the Element rims on there. I do not think there is enough clearance on my set up for element rims. I can probably get some spacers to make mine work if I chose to go that route one day.

What is the necessity of replacing the springs? Could I just get a bigger axle and wheels? If I'm not going to put more weight on it than it is currently rated for? Also did you weld the frame at all?

Bought a used HF folding trailer and will add a 2x2 to the tongue also. Your 2x2 tubing bolts through the top coupler plate and a bottom plate. Is the bottom plate the original 1/8 aluminum plate? Any issues? It looks like the bottom plate is mounted "inside" the tongue rails. Not on the bottom of the tongue rails?

Yea, it’s the original plate but mine was steel. I put it in the inside because there was a gap when mounted on the outside with the 2inch tube.
