After you have the engine installed with the adapter and transmission in place, look to see if the lower transmission/adapter region is flexing away from the engine when the clutch is depressed. You can check this without running the engine. If you do experience lower separation or flexing you may want to further improve your oil pan design to solve this issue. Note that the stock Ecotec oil pan has casting features that allow the lower portion of the transmission to be attached to the oil pan. The design challenge will be dealing with the limited space when installed into the Miata subframe. Maybe you could design a separate transmission support cradle that bolts to the oil pan or to the oil pan bolts or both. Another option is to have V8 Roadsters make a custom subframe to go with your custom oil pan. However, I think that could violate racing rules but would be a great street and track-day option. Carry-on!

I appreciate the response. Someone else mentioned this when we did the first video and we added threaded holes to the pan for a brace. The brace should be done soon and I will do a video on it. Be sure to subscribe to see it.
