These videos are so good - jam packed with useful content and fun to watch. Things that seemed difficult suddenly become clear when you have the right teacher. On a side note, I was just listening to a demo of Steely Dan's "Black Cow" and I realized the bass in the piano is a Bossa groove. I doubt I would have ever made that connection without this video. Thanks for all the great content!

Amazing groove lol I ended up playing with you towards the end, and I’m loving the guitar content 💪🏾

the bass isnt supposed to be doubled up like that. on the records, you can hear that the bass is always half notes

Yeah bass is usually just on the 1 and 3 in bossa. Some western bastardisations of bossa have the bass anticipating the 3rd beat, like he plays here.

could be a little bit tighter in the 16th notes. harmonically very good but the rhythm is a litte static.

Sorry but in the original Bossa nova the bass play only quarter notes. You confuse the samba with Bossa nova. Try to hear everything by Joao Gilberto if you don't believe me.

Nice video but when you are improvising, you should work on applying less pressure on the fretboard, you are pulling the notes a tad sharp.
