What was the reasoning behind changing the cross braces? Cost or design? I would think the cross braces going with the birds from the original wouldn’t be very supportive, but I don’t know that much as I am just trying to get into wood working

Do you have a video on how to make benches with it?

Did you do any beating or distressing? Or did you keep it super smooth like it is
@houseoftimbers Жыл бұрын
No, we sanded down the top was all. There was no distressing, but you could absolutely do that if it's your style!

@@houseoftimbers Y'all did an incredible job. I'm trying to make a table now. How did y'all square the long edges of the boards to bring them together flush? My boards are showing very small gaps that span several inches across 8 ft.

@@houseoftimbers table saw?
@houseoftimbers2 жыл бұрын
@@TonySaysHello Nope, we made all the cuts with a chop saw. Or you could use a circular saw, but that would be more time consuming.
@houseoftimbers2 жыл бұрын
@@TonySaysHello We didn't square them. We selected the best lumber that we could find, but they aren't completely flush the whole length down. If you don't want the "crumb catcher" then you can fill the seams with wood filler and sand down. That's one downside to having limited tools and budget. If you have the ability to joint the edges, then that would make them completely flush.

Thanks for watching! I know it's not everyones cup of tea. It's too quiet without music in my opinion, but I only have access to certain music options. Maybe I should explore that a little more.
