Built this chair and the sofa! Love them both and your instructions were VERY easy to follow. The only thing that I didn't like was how low the back was so I added another "U" with 3" spacers to bring the back and arms up a little higher and now it's perfect!

Followed the video and made one this weekend. I made the mistake of cutting the longer pieces out of the 8ft 2x4s first and then moved on to the medium sections and then got down to the smaller sections. Ended up having to run out and get an additional 4 ft 2x4 to get the last 23 7/8 section cut. Would recommend folks do their cuts from smaller to larger. Time to sand and stain! Thanks for the great tutorial. Such awesome stuff you guys do.

Great project to try! Quick little pro tip for everyone out there that might try it for themselves. Make sure you're doing it on a level surface. It will make all the difference! (not everyone's floor is level!)

As always your awesome projects make me think of either different uses or a different way to finish it. The latter, however, always adds more cuts and is never as simple as yours. I have made a chair similar to this but (with additional cuts) made the armrests adirondack style. It makes for a nice place to rest beverage, plate, phone etc. Great job you two!!

I used a 2x2 for the back top "u" shape that you attach the arms too.. The other way it digs into your back. Great chair though.
