Wow all in 28 days. As I was watching u move the stones around I thought this must have taken him a couple years. I was stunned to see u did it all in 28 days. Great work im totally impressed. I bet that is a cozy place at night with the fire glowing and your dogs bedded down for the night. Seems like it would feel like the best place on earth to me. Awesome video.

I watch a lot of this type of video on youtube. I love the effort behind this video in particular. I work in construction and can be a bit opinionated on building stuff, so take this with a grain of salt: I like everything but the "roof". There is a problem with its conception. The structure of the roof has members that should be reversed. It's hard to explain but the "runners" are on the wrong side of the frame. I absolutely love the dry stone wall, especially that you pulled strings. Strings have been used for thousands of years in construction, and it's nice to see a youtuber finally employ the method. We still use strings today all over the construction trades. Even though we have lasers, we all still use strings.

4/18/2023 A truly "bush craft" built cabin. You did a great job building PROPER stacked stone walls, with no mortar. You used pegs and bindings too' Of course, I might do things a bit different, so what. This is a job well done, very well done.

This was a great project and a wonderful set of videos which I will have to watch from beginning to end. I cheated and watched just the last few! I hope you will both spend many happy days there. The only thing I would have done differently is to make the bed frame from wood instead of stone as a lot of potential storage space under the bed is lost by making a solid platform from stone. It might make a longer stay more convenient/comfortable, especially in winter.

@@TSMAdventuresI agree with keqd54. Very impressive craftwork on the windows and doors. I'd love to do this some day. I've watched a bunch of these builds and I always question, "Are these guys building on property they own?" I also wonder how long these builds last and what it to maintain them. I wish I had land to build a fun project like this! I had another question. I noticed you built that big chimney and fire place but then put a wood burning stove inside. It looked like there was a surplus of space in there. Does the heat the stove generates stay in the cabin? I suspect in colder weather that the heat from the stove would escape rather easily. Maybe the top of the chimney is narrower than it looks. If it were me (and I had the skills) I would like to make the chimney more bottle-necked to trap more heat, but still leave space for cooking. Just my two cents. Altogether, amazing work! Thanks for being an inspiration to viewers like me who live vicariously through you!

I like that video, and that's a LOT of work you've put into this cabin. And 28 days only was fast! The only two things I would have done differently is to add mud/cob between the rocks for a better insulation and set the two longitudinal beams over instead of under, this to add strength to the roof.
