Hey. Keep practicing. 1. Try with different styles you like. 2. Pick a gender that you want your drawing to be 3. Pick colors that you think would match the character 4. If you want to name the character and come up with who they are and what makes them, them.

The best advice I've ever received was to start with quantity over quality. Like, once you find something you like, keep drawing it. Doodle it on the margins of notes, and once you're so comfortable you could draw it from memory, then you can start expanding.

I love watching this type of video because it's fun to see everyone's directions for characters. I mean, if I had that color scheme I would have gone for a far more adorable, innocent design because to me the light blue looked as innocent as the pink and the dark blue seemed more like something for the hair and for highlights, so it's so interesting to see someone taking the same thing to a totally different place
