@@nerdonabudget 600-700$ now is a 12400f and a rx6650xt with 32gb ram and a 1tb ssd so a 1070 and a r7 1700 is prob around half that

A Ryzen 1700 and GTX 1070 is plenty for anyone who is of high school age or younger lol, I would have killed for a PC with that level of specs at the time

Super clean! Glad NZXT helped out with what I like to call the “white-aesthetic tax,” cuz I’m dying trying to build a budget white build. Also good choice on grabbing the 7500F, AliEx is amazing for CPU deals. Bought a 5700X for like ~100 and 12400F for ~85

I would upgrade processor on her previous motherboard for 5700x, not gonna lie that’s a sweet upgrade for her anyway!

A few things: 1.Hope you are doing well and the foot thing is behind you. 2.The fan carrier needs to be removable and standard fans installed. No reason for more proprietary stuff...fans will fail . 3. Good on you leaving a wide upgrade path, this case coupled with am5 should last a long time ! Keep up the good vibes, we all need it.

Yea I agree with you about the proprietary thing, unfortunately with patent laws, one company being first to the idea means that others can't do a similar design to improve a particular type of hardware. Lian-Li started with the unifans, and sued Thermaltake and Phanteks when they tried to do something similar. Corsair came up with their LINK system which seems different enough to be safe from a lawsuit, but is proprietary and I'm sure patented. NZXT probably had to navigate carefully around those to avoid a lawsuit and this was what they came up with. It's by no means perfect, and unfortunately that's the situation we're in when companies have to walk on eggshells when coming up with new designs to improve the customer's experience

i love it, tho i wouldn't say it's performance oriented. RGN with an armored motherboard and a big atx tempered glass case with rgb fans is everything that gives 0 performance. air coolers are the best for price/performance with a better reliability.
