Are you using N and P FETs? Or is there a more sophisticated bootstrapped driver in there somewhere? Only 4 transistors for a stepper sounds a bit strange, though I guess it works if you’re using half bridges instead of full bridges, since stall current isn’t important. As a PCB maker first and foremost I’ve made myself a few FET driver circuits. IR2184s work in any situation, be it a buck converter, resonant transformer driver, motor driver, you name it.

Yeah, I was just using half-bridges for this particular driver. It was meant to be a single-use prototype before I could get hold of a proper driver from Jaycar or something. I'm honestly not great at electronics, but it did the job. Not that I ever ended up using this thing anyway. I'll keep the IR2184s in mind if I ever build something similar, thanks!

how many amps does the sensor can handle? im looking to buy one of those

I believe it handled up to 5 amps. It broke nearly instantly after I demonstrated it in this video though, so I wouldn't recommend this exact product.

I pretty much just searched on ebay for the cheapest 'ten amp' buck converter I could find: www.ebay.com.au/itm/192007593319 Turns out it actually works very well, but I dunno if it can actually handle 10A.
