Hello @Woodpeckers; Does the Miter Bar support screwing from the bar to the bottom of the cross cut sled instead of from the cross cut sled to the bar? Thanks,

The bar is threaded, so in general the design is to attach the sled to the bar.

I recently bought two of these miter bars to build a sled for my sawstop CNS. The bars are a bit too snug and there is a lot of friction while sliding. How can I get it to slide smoothly?

First step would be to clean and wax the miter gauge slot.

Great video, thanks. May I ask why I don't just build this and NOT buy the Exact 90? Doesn't this replace the Exact 90?

A cross-cut sled reduces depth of cut, a miter gauge doesn't. Miter gauges are lighter and more maneuverable. The sled's big advantage is increased width of cut, which the Exact-90 also offers.

I've been woodworking and building for over 40 years and have never had a cut-off sled. Some people can't finish their first project without one. It all depends on how you work and what you build. The Exact-90 brings a lot of features to the table that make a sled superfluous. Namely, the long bar for extended width of cut, extended fence with stops and the flop stop.

Fits any miter slot that is approximately 3/8" x 3/4".

DeWalt doesn't publish the bar dimension in their spec sheet. Measure it. If it is 3/8" x 3/4" our miter bar will fit.

If you have an Exact-90 miter gauge, why not just mount the plywood base to it? It's already square, plus you have the flip-stops on the fence for repeated cuts.

You wouldn't need the plywood base with an Exact 90 and the flop-stop. I can cut full cabinet side panels with mine, no problem.
