Happy Owner of this great piece here. Its superb being able to see the bits come together on video! (I too noticed the backwards motor but the effect is not diminished!)
@SteamGeezerUK5 жыл бұрын
I'm just glad it arrived in one piece and you're happy with it. The prop spins backwards on purpose - it's so it pushes onto the shaft and there's no chance of it flying off across the room :-)

Awesome. Am always so impressed by how easy you make it look (and I know it takes years to become as talented as you are) but also how you get across how much fun you are having and enjoying what you do and create. Fabulous, you give ham-fisted people like me lots of inspiration and great help. Thanks

I think the way you have made this model is great; simple little touches make it into something so different. All for a fantastic cause. Also think any information you have to share with us is good be that modelling, glue mixing or box building.

Could I as well as LED's,also run a simple propellor off this too?
@SteamGeezerUK4 жыл бұрын
You certainly can. That's exactly what I'm doing here - the landing lights and the motor for the propeller.
@miger18244 жыл бұрын
@@SteamGeezerUK Thanks for the reply. Can i add a resistor before connecting to the motor to slow the propellor?? or what do you suggest? Thanks again, have subscribed--great stuff!

@@miger1824 Thanks, I appreciate it. You could add a resistor, sure. It might also we worth looking at slower motors.

What is the static grass you are using?
@SteamGeezerUK4 жыл бұрын
I have a number of different types I use. In this case (if I remember correctly) it was a blend of 2mm and 4mm meadow grass. It came from a vendor called "macterials1" on ebay, mainly because they sell it in larger bags than most other vendors I looked at.

Very good job on this project. I think the grass could have been flattened behind the prop wash but that is minor. Altogether a great build for a great cause. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the build. As I'm in Canada I won't bid on it , the logistics of getting it here would be too much. I wish you well with the auction and hope you raise a good sum of money for the charity. .....David.
