That tank is going to look so cool. You could add a mangrove also and withing time you could trim it like a Bonsai, and in the roots you could place fire clamps, scallops, things like that to make it look like a lagoon

Is there a certain website good for research? I would think that SeaHorses would go well with Graden Eels to clean up all of the uneaten food since there is always extra but, I have no clue on how to confirm my suspicions without actually trying it. Those 2 and brittle stars are my favorite, such interestingly shaped creatures.

Hi, I was intrigued with the light. Do you think this bulb would work for a planted freshwater tank? I haven't been able to find them at my HD, do you order them on-line? Tks.

I run 5k homedpot bulbs on my freshwater tanks. checkout my 60 gallon cube tank i had a year ago. I will also be starting a 125gallon planted here next month using the same lights

FishOfHex Finally got around to set up my 29 G Amazon tank. Bought the following bulbs at HD and they are hanging suspended over my open-top tank: Ecosmart LED 2-pack, Home Depot, 90 watts (uses 11 watts),1050 lumens, 38 PAR, 5000K - Daylight. This is a fantastic choice for the depth and stocking of my tank. Wanted to share the details for other aquarists. Thanks again for putting me on the right track.

Honestly I have never used or setup one of those systems. What i would look for is total water volume and equipment. More water and better equipment is the way id go.

Quick question. Does that overflow make alot of noise? or did you make it have a air hole behind the tank kinda like a durso? Also did you put another pump in your sump to feed that tank?

I have the overflow drilled with an air line and it make no noise. I run this tank off the single manifold on the main display. No additional pumps required

hi i have the same type of overflow that you have on your refugium ( bulkhead in drilled glass) how do you keep it from making noises with the air being sucked?

drill a whole on the top of the elbow after the bulkhead and that will allow air in

yes you can put a soft tube in it to make it better.

Nice refugium! 1) Is your inlet coming off of your manifold? 2) How did you determine your flow rate for the fuge? 3) For someone who does not have a manifold, what would be your suggestion for an alternate inlet to this fuge? Thanks for all the info you provide for us new guys to the hobby!

Inlet is off the manifold, not sure what the flow rate is and if i didnt have a manifold i would use a utility pump to push water to the tank and let gravity do the rest.
