A little more than a rectangle with triangles on top. I'd say it's pretty well thought out, and dealing with angles isn't always easy. I liked your idea of laying the 2x4 across the top to mark the angles on the rafters.

I originally planned for tin roofing but found ondura panels while I was in the store so decided to go that route. Looked Ondura’s video on here and who is demonstrating the install?! You! Haha. So funny. I did run into one snag. I installed over 18in oc purlins but ended up having to backtrack and install additional purlins for the ridge cap to install on to. Not fun. How far are you going to take the build before moving it on site? The more complete it gets, the heavier it will be and the harder it will be to move it without damage.

Well, normally I would move it at this point, because it’s easy to move. But because of the video I will continue it here for the next part just because I don’t have to deal with the high winds we are having. Wind noise on the camera is terrible for the videos🤦♂️😂

@@homesteadonomics I hear ya. My last vacation, I shot some vids with my camera and almost every second of footage was completely useless because the wind blew out the sound. Thinking of getting a cordless electric brad nailer. Any disadvantages compared to the pneumatic?
@homesteadonomics3 жыл бұрын
So the cordless advantage is having no cord and convenience of not having the compressor. The disadvantage is that the tool is slightly heavier than a pneumatic since the tool has to create the air/power/hammering force. As for performance, these will sink a nail just as nicely as my pneumatic ones. So I’d recommend for sure😀👍
@dustman963 жыл бұрын
@@homesteadonomics Thanks, that was the answer I was looking for! The only electric brad nailer I've used was a really low quality one, didn't drive nails with enough force/speed to be very useful. Looking forward to the next installment of the build.
