Nice work Pete, though I think you'll need a bit more beef where the entire pack current goes through just two nickel strips even if doubled up. Did you beef up the series connections? You can draw 35A from a 40T so 5p can try to put 175A through the series strips, (if you had a machine that could demand that much power). If you put a biggish load on the battery for 5 mins or so and feel with you hands the series connections to see if they are getting warm, if they are then you will be loosing power here.

well these cells are good for burst of 30amps so you'd get away with a smaller wall size if needed. But the cells would last a long long time if they only had 0.5 amp draw
@zachniedfeldt5 жыл бұрын
The 21700 is a great choice for power wall, considering thats what the new ones from tesla use (not sure if they are using them in the cars yet). The 40T is quite a bit more current than you probably need and it comes at a slight trade off of capacity. Look at the samsung 50E 9.8amp, 5Ah.

Hi, ive a question, i have a 48v 10amh ebike battery with a BMS, ive come across an issue, ive checked some of the cells and they are around 3.1v and the rest are at 4.2v, my charger cuts out and doesnt charge every cell to full, im thinking my BMS has broken, also if the BMS is broken can i fix the problem by just simply replacing the BMS and then it will balanceall the cells? Thanks
@HBPowerwall5 жыл бұрын
I would assume if the BMS is faulty, replacing will solve the issue - do you have a way of just charging the one low cell?
