Building a DIY laundry room plywood cabinet with sink

I'm replacing a laundry room sink by building a new base cabinet, building a new countertop out of solid wood and installing a stainless steel sink along with all the necessary plumbing.
The major concern is wood movement of the solid top. The countertop will definitely move and I outline the precautions I've taken to mitigate the impact of that movement which I outline in the video. Time will tell if I made the right decision.
The Shark-bite plumbing products made the plumbing for the water pipes simple and straight forward.

Newbie here; making my first cabinet with the help of a cabinetmaker. Your cabinet is almost exactly like the one in my laundry room, except that mine will be placed next to two walls (back and right). Love your solution to the wood countertop and backsplash -- so much wood gets wasted when cutting a sink opening from a large wood slab. Thanks for showing the steps you took to make it work; it's the only video I've seen like this!

Love your content, Dennis. The top for that cabinet is gorgeous. I'm starting to see more and more Festool tools in your videos. How do you feel about their cost vs. quality at this point? Are they worth it? And Lie Nielsen emailed me just today that the 3/4 tongue and groove plane was back in stock. I got one this time. I don't have to be jealous of yours anymore. Keep up the good work, buddy. It's only a matter of time before your channel blows up.

Seriously, thanks for the comment - I appreciate it - Regarding Festool - Actually, the tools you see me using in that video (track-saw, router, sander) are all 15+ years old and still running fine. The Domino is only a few years old. Cost vs Quality? They're high quality and I love the integrated dust collection, but the cost is high and always has been. The Domino is pretty much in a class of its own. You can produce loose tenons several ways but none as fast and clean as a Domino IMHO. So yes, if the joinery method appeals to you, the Domino is worth it IMHO. The others? Personally, I would lean towards Festool based on my history with them (I don't think you can go wrong), BUT, I would take a look at the competition as well before purchasing because it's a much different market than it was 15+ years ago. Milwaukee has come out with a track-saw recently that looks promising, but it's NOT cheap. And there are others producing track-saw systems as well. There is a great deal of interest for Mirka and 3M sanding systems, etc. So definitely worth weighing all options. Hope that helps! Enjoy the T&G plane!
