Just found this. Just WOW! I am 62 years old, Widower. Wife of 41 years passed away 2 years ago. Just bought a 1994 GMC 3/4 ton, long wheel base Truck. One owner, 74,000 original miles & it will be 30 years old next year! I am planning to hit the road & travel (hunt/fish) the USA. You have definitely inspired that Dream. Thanks for sharing this video. Wish me luck!

This is one of the most heartwarming comments I have gotten! Sounds like you have set yourself up right do some some exploring and to get out in the world. I’m sorry for your loss but I hope that in creating a mobile rig to truck around the ole USA You will find everything you are looking for the the places you least expect. I wish you all the luck but something tells me that your the kind of person who creates there own luck and you just need to let it all happen! Happy trails wherever the road takes you

@ianazariah2 жыл бұрын
Hey not sure if you heard near the end there that the camper has been on the road for 2 years now, and that i used high tensile silicone to put them in place. So I think that its good to go as I done 120 in rain storms a number of time. but you are correct that if someone is not thinking things thru they could be in trouble... we on the other hand are fine.

Hard coated Plexiglass / acrylic or even better Polycarbonate / Lexan would have been a better choice for the windows, more expensive but with much higher scratch resistance. Also, the epoxy degrades from UV radiation and needs spar varnish for protection. This is the most beautiful truck camper that I have seen, much like the gorgeous cedar strip canoes and kayaks.
