@@davidmorefield I’ve worked mostly in post production so far so I totally understand. How many Terabytes did you have to go through?
@davidmorefield2 ай бұрын
@@brian.zukowski less than 4. I always felt an editors reel was much harder to make. A lot of the skill is shown over how scenes are cut. Seems difficult to do in 90 seconds.

@@davidmorefield yeah that’s why I’ve never made one 😆 I just have a portfolio of finished edits separated by type. I only have a reel for work I shot and edited. Do you see a lot of other editors with an editors reel? Got me wondering if that’s something I’m missing.

Love it, thanks for sharing! I am digging the scene based approach, definitely something Id do myself as well for a reel which is on my todo list for way too long haha.. Not sure if it's a KZbin thing or maybe can be fixed but the talking bit at 1:36 looks to me as if there were some frames dropped. Maybe a different fps of timeline vs. footage?

Looks great man well done, just curious if the shot at 1:35 in the KZbin video was stuttering for anyone else ? Or just for me or is it on the reel as well?

At first the clip of the father talking at the bouncy castle slide thing seemed a little like a sound effect with a boominess but the second dialogue clip of him was the same and seemed more like wind almost distorting the clip. Have you trieda low cut or isolation on those?
@davidmorefield2 ай бұрын
@@adamdrakestudio Good catch. It was very windy that day and the sound op had a large dead cat on the boom. I haven’t tried low cut but I will now. Thank you for the suggestion.

Is it requested that you don’t keep footage on hand projects? If you dual recorded with your own sd card would you be able to use the footage?
@davidmorefield2 ай бұрын
@@rovonnrussell No it’s not requested. Sometimes the project is nda and there is no reason why I should keep it. Dual recording is an option but then I only have half my media. Sometimes I need all of it since we don’t dump footage throughout the day. Only at the end.
