awesome to see a video from you buddy ,, very nice drag ,, same style of drag as we use to drag oysters here in PEI .. Canada ... it was hard to tell but you should have a rope and bouy on the other end of your drag incase you loss it plus that rope would help you get the drag in the boat and help empety your drag out ... dragging is one of those things that it takes time to get us to it and work out the kinks ... please keep the videos coming ,, love to see more videos from you again ..

I do have a tag line and buoy off the back, it took a bit to find the optimum towing speed....3.7 - 3.9 knots

Nice job Cap't We can't drag bay scallops here in NC but we can still get sea Scallops. They haven't replenished enough to keep since a hurricane several decades ago.

What’s that a 4 ft. Drag? We use to use one like that now we have a 8 ft. The 4 footer did really well though

Hi John , It looks like trawlex chain and connectors , good move spending the extra money , mild chain and hardware would be worn out in couple weeks , mind the davie
@CaptJohnsBar6 жыл бұрын
We just have recreational licenses so it doesn't get the use a commercial drag would get, it should last a good long time....Next year i'm getting a taller davie and adding clubsticks so we can dump from the bottom, this would let us go with just two men instead of three if we had to.

You build a new bag on the ground. Then you attach it to the bail. You guys are only making it harder for your self by squeezing every ring together up in the air. Plus that is a real strange looking dredge with three sweeps on it. Must be because it’s so small
