Damn I can really identify with that kid in the crowd. When I was a kid I hated loud noises, fire works, motorcycles e.t.c. I was terrified. So glad to see him sitting in the car and then being all smiles. That's a day to remember for him!

Legend taking care of that kid! I’ve been around so many people who won’t let kids in or around the cars. When I’m at shows I love letting them jump in the cars, sometimes fire them up and rev it if the situation allows. Gotta foster and grow the next generation of gear heads and that’s exactly how you do it!

This car and team was the main reason I booked up goodwood this year. To come away this year with my carbon fibre panel off my RX7 FD and some prints signed by mad mike was awesome plus having a general chat with whiddett family and team and capturing the start up moment in this video was just awesome feel privileged. Yeah honestly the way I saw him driving it at low speed on the coverage, how he continually revs the guts out of it and punches the clutch in and out I thought to myself - he must be murdering that clutch. Turns out he exactly was. I wonder if it's full carbon carbon because they usually eat up that kind of heat like it's nothing. A heavier flywheel would also help inertia to get it to move at low speed but then it wouldn't rev anywhere near as quickly. He just needs to go easier on it lol.

@@dons1932 I'd be surprised if this entire car isn't bulletproof... Obviously such a build comes with a clutch that can handle it. You don't build something like this and forget a piece of the puzzle as common as the clutch. Also, him giving constantly revving can be due to the fact this 3 rotor is most likely race ported and does not like being driven at low RPM's. Staying on the throttle then is most likely a better choice / as good a choice as riding the clutch at 3K rpms constantly. But let's be honest, he also does it for the show, obviously!😂 But yeah, this has to be the gnarliest clutch by the way, probably adding to the difficulty of the engine being ported so much.
