A quick insight as to what is involved in turning Japanese reliability into an Italian Dream. Hope you enjoy watching, as much as i did building it.

Hey, nice video and Nice Job on the Car. I have a 92 MR2 Turbo with 53k miles. It's my Ferrari without all that work. Take Care!

I can't stop watching your video! I have been to E-bay looking for a MR2 and started looking and how to mod the car to a V8. You Video in a inspiration! I wanna Go LAMBO! Don't take it down NEVER!

I have seen this kit and like it. It's one of the best kits out on the market. While I understand that some people are booing the MR2 engine, the stock engine is nothing to laugh at. Further more, if you throw in the Turbo option, it goes from a 10 second car to a 4 second car, which is where the Ferrari is at. And while some might like the original body of the MR2, which I love my MR2, the option to add a body kit is up to the owner. Frankly, this is a great job.

I'm not really much of a Ferrari man but have to give mucho respect for a really nice looking car. I see quite a few where i live and if I saw yours wouldnt consider it anything other than the real thing (which is mostly what it's all about isn't it? Bet your Little boy LOVES it too.

That project really amased me. Looks very well done. You have to keep an eye on the wheel bearings. Those long spacers puts an extreme load on them.

@Herbal6910 жыл бұрын
Cool as long as it stays off the streets with those crazy wheel spacers. I guess bearing wear, altered scrub radius and increased unsprung mass are non issues because look what I got, its a Ferrari.

Great job, a lot of work too. A car you can be proud of, because that's you who built it. I do not think our regulations in France would allow such an experience.

damn. Usually you can tell a converted MR2 from a real 355 a mile away. But your's looks sweet. I think the main reason is because you actually widened yours. Most people seem to skip this, and it shows. A real 355 is noticably wider than an MR2. Judging from yours, its worth the extra effort. Cos like I said, very hard to tell the diff. Nice job.

You are right, MR2's hold their own on the roads, and have a reputation of their own for performance.

The rounded and smaller windshield is a dead giveaway. Should be flat and damn nesr wide as the body. Spacers make it a death trap.Nice car through.

Hi, nice project. I have a real Ferrari, a 1980 308GTSi, it didn't cost much more than your project (25000 Euro). I've had it for ten years and only spent a couple of thousand on maintenance and it is excempt from road tax now (Netherlands). And I'm working class! Just a tip for others, enjoy your car.

Wow, i have a your car just real... this is amazing what you did, but you probably didn't have to pay 100,000 dollars, bravo. At the beginning i couldnt see how this was possible, you sure as hell did it. I am astonished. Now all you need is to make the engine better, paddle shifters and middle console. Also on the real F1 there are red lights in the door...
@juani283817 жыл бұрын
wow man, that's a pretty awesome kit, of course the roof looks a bit floppy but, everything else is spot on, i'm telling you, get the original rims and do something to that yellow interior and i'll be glad to buy it from you

I was thinking the same. My mouth dropped when I saw the size of the spacers!!!! I would be afraid of the wheel coming off

Makes sense, I too wanted to build a replica, but I would need the speed to back up the looks... To each his own, and it looks damn nice!
@MagicAyrtonforever17 жыл бұрын
Great video.. do the wheel spacers put extra load on wheel bearings??
@XOTICAR16 жыл бұрын
Look at the new Fiberfab Valkyrie kit, it is based on a Corvette donor car for parts, ideally a rolled over insurance loss from a wrecker, and you can do all the work yourself, including a one hour engine swap to a 4 cyl engine when you don't need all that horsepower. And I used to drive "a poor man's Ferarri" when I owned an Italian Bertone (Fiat) X-1/9 with Targa top. It cost $3000 used, I drove it for two years and sold it for $3000. There is nothing wrong with saving money to spend on gas!

That is the sickest thing i have ever seen... can you do it to my MR2 ^^ xD
@vaanchaos17 жыл бұрын
Just have to say nice job mate and this is comming from a guy who loves mr2's. hopefully you will do some more mr2 body kits maybe next time you could do a wide body kit on one.
@top40productions16 жыл бұрын
Yeah Mike those wheel spacers are the biggest Ive ever seen, they would effect the unsprung weight a lot, as the underpowered engine tries to turn those spacers and heavier rims, great job though, back wheels dont look far enough out though even still, but a labor of love for sure.
