I am making a mobile floating island in a similar way to this. But welded aluminum rubber coated frame and then tarp and soil and grass on top with sand on the outer edges. And circular rather than square.

@@SherrickDuncan That would be pretty awesome. Will it be on barrels?

What do you think about replacing the barrels with plastic bottles?
@tom_sassen4 ай бұрын
I would advise against that. Main reason is that it could deteriorate faster and make a larger mess. 55 gallon drums are much better and you don’t need to use as much

Do you know how much weight it can carry
@RobertBee-c8b27 күн бұрын
It comes out to about 440 lbs per drum. 9 drums is approximately 4000 lbs.

@@tom_sassen I need to build a layout and specs for a 40x40 floating cigar lounge/restaurant and one level
@tom_sassen Жыл бұрын
@@ronaldmanigat Sounds cool, put as many barrels as you can fit in that 40x40 area. Each 55 gallon barrel has a maximum buoyancy of about 450 pounds. Try to make the walls and the structure of the building as light as possible and make sure to have many escape routes in case of fires etc..
