This week on Building a Goat Island Skiff, a homemade sailing boat :
* Started the lightweight lug yard using old windsurf mast elements
*Made some rudder gudgeons
*Sanded the bottom
*Faired the hull some more, and some more, and some more...

Okay, then. Definitely not just glassed. I am assuming a painted finish now. Did not look as though it needed much thickness on the fairing compound, that means it was a good quality controled build. Great job.

The GIS's hull has no glass anywhere but on the chines, and it's only a 50mm tape. 😉

How thick steel did you use?
