Now that's a saw! The hay rack turned out great. Now you can haul round bales too.

That's stout enough to haul your big Deere around on..lol. Looks damn good to me....I'm a believer in the used oil coating too, nothing else will last on a flat surface...Thanks Will....

Thanks Bryce. It's definitely going to get the custom water coating. I figure I over built it a little but that beats the alternative.

Man yeah Mr Will!! That is absolutely epic!! I loved seeing the work for sure!! You needed an arm breaker 2000 for that bit😉🤣🤣 Man that turned out amazing!!! I need to tare mine down as well, although with the new row crops, I think the spare running gear will end up being a grain head cart 😁 Really enjoyed the the commentary and and your dislike for torx screws😉😁😁 Thank you Mr Will, looking fwd to seeing some squares on there for sure!! Gonna try to cut tomorrow myself on the second cutting!! Thank you sir!! 😁😁😁🇺🇸🇺🇸🚜🚜👍👍

Thank Nelson. Glad you enjoyed it. We got a couple tenths of rain last night. They keep predicting big thunderstorms but they fizzle out before they get here. I should be making hay but more rain predicted. 🤷‍♂️. I hope so. A header cart is a good idea. Have a great week my friend. 😃

Love the bolts for the beams. Love that big saw. Deck screws for floor boards are such an improvement over nails like we used to use. Ash should work. We’ve always used Tamarack and oiled the deck with waste oil.

Thanks Dave. The deck will definitely get some treatment. It came out pretty good, the carriage bolts really stiffened everything up. I have to totally agree about the deck screws. Nailing wasn't that much fun and they liked to work out after a while.

I hate Phillips heads. I really hate the straight bit screws. My Dad was a big fan of the square drive. They are getting hard to come by. Great job Will. Looks fantastic!

Thanks Gary. Phillips are worthless for anything that drives hard. When I went looking for screws yesterday Menards had a pretty good selection of squares. I was favorably impressed.

About 3 years ago I had to rebuild the 3 hay rack that dad and I made in the early 80’s ..we had broken some crossmembers hauling round bales and the decking was getting pretty bad…..I knew it was time to rebuild them when the neighbors quit borrowing them anymore 😂😂😂

That gear traveled. Buffalo isn't far from me. I'm not surprised that the dealership has a Swedish name either. We used red elm planks. A bit of warp, but cheap. Thank you Will.

Thanks Bryce. I had a few Elm boards that I used for the potato bin. They do like to warp. Long stringy fiber. Lots of lowboy decks were Elm. The people I got the trailer from lived southwest of the cities somewhere. They hauled it up here when they moved quite a few years ago.

@@farawayfarm2520 We split fence posts out of red elm with wedges. They had a tangled grain. It wasn't easy to drive staples either, but you were good for at least a decade. I saw a albino doe by Wauwega Wisconsin today. I thought someone's goat was out until I got close.

It works. My brother-in-law just rebuilt a rack my Grandpa built in the early 80s. I had replaced a few bad boards over the years but that Tamarack made it almost 40 years on nothing but used oil treatment.
