Always providing insightful content; thank you. I had two questions, 1. Does this go against the electrical standard code in Gh, if so what are the consequences? 2. If this is a requirement to have the grey cable, then how come it is not on the Ghana market? Thanks in advance and standing-by

Thank you so much sir for your soothing words 🙏. Yes it goes against the Ghana electrical code. Actually most people doing electrical installation do not use the right colour code at all but the faced out colour code (red: phase 1,yellow: phase 2, blue: phase 3, black: neutral). Right now there are no consequences for using wrong colour of cables, there is issue with enforcement. It's sad or pathetic that's something that's requirement is not available. Even cable manufacturing companies in Ghana don't produce grey colour cable. Tropical cable, Nexans kabelmetal, Signal cable etc don't produce it, cause the issue is most people who claim to be electricians still hold on to the old colour code and when these guys go to buy cables if they don't get the old colour code they won't buy at all and it's affecting these cable manufacturing companies in Ghana, so they are forced to continue to produce the old colour code cables over the new or IEC standard colour code which Ghana 🇬🇭 is a part of that union 😉 and unfortunately these companies are the same who are the main sponsors of Energy Commission Ghana and its regulatory activities 🙄.

@@multiskilledelectrician1 appreciate your thorough and clear explanation. I can’t wait to work with you on my project. Can the grey cables be outsourced in the US? If I have the details and specs I can have that ordered when I get to that stage. Thanks you

Have they changed the 3 phase meter? Because if they have not changed the 3 phase meter your wiring is wrong, because any supply comes with it load,
