Hello, what is the "fabric" that you put between the leather and the stock? I made a cartridge belt for an oiled sanded Marlin but I didn't put any protection on it. All the oil sanding is gone from the cartridge belt area. Certainly "drunk" by the leather. Thank you for your reply. very good video and very pretty pattern.

Was there a step of sanding the edges in between the cut out and stiching groover in the beginning?

Ok, nice! Some more questions, what was the material you glued on to the back side? Is that so you don't scuff the wood? Would bare leather scuff it?

@@TastyChevelle it was just another piece of leather. It makes everything look more finished, not necessary just a finishing touche.
