This is great! I think you should do a part two, with modules like a “split” module that detects each ball coming through and alternates sending them left and right, with a “join” module later on that combines the two inputs into one again. A “launcher” that gives the balls speed would be cool too, or maybe even launch the balls in a consistent trajectory and have another “catcher” module that’s a little wider that catches them if that’s possible. Oh, and a “floodgate” module that stacks up a lot of balls and lets them go all at once based on a timer or the weight of the balls. And if you allow bigger modules, a classic “funnel” module with a one-ball wide hole at the bottom would be nice.

@@JKBrickworks You might also want to check some videos of "Jelle's Marble Runs" with Marbula One... basically marble runs mimicking the style of formula one races. The courses there form loops with what looks like a lego elevator for the marbles connecting end and start points to allow for races with multiple rounds, and they often feature decoration made from lego and/or duplo parts. Those races are surprisingly entertaining to watch, and the tracks might provide you with some further inspiration. Anyway, I just recently stumbled upon your channel and I do really enjoy your videos, keep up the great work! :)
@DrWhom4 жыл бұрын
@@JKBrickworks If you could design a NAND gate (ball comes out only when no balls enter the two entrances simultaneously), you can then implement any Boolean function as a marble run composed of many NANDs. Trick is to have something akin to a clock cycle, and of course any kind of NOT would require its own hidden stock of balls. In terms of Albin's ideas, and AND would be like a capacity-2 floodgate, and a NOT would be launcher that gets deflected by an arrival.

I'm bout to math Theoretically The ball divider system (BDS) is not fair, say BDS spinning to the left (counterclockwise) than the left box would be more likely to have balls. This is true because the wall that is blocked off has a 1/4 chance of catching a ball and since BDS is spinning left than the wall that is blocked off would have the ball be pushed to the left making the chance of going to the left 2/4 (1/2 or half) instead of 1/4 like the rest This is only if you have one wall blocked off DO NOT TAKE THIS AS HATE I'm just flexing my brain muscles 😂😂😂
