FARM ALARM - FARM ALARM In this episode We build a livestock feeder out of a 30 gallon barrel drum. You can also use a 55 gallon drum. This will work great for sheep, cows, pigs, horses and goats.
Much cheaper than buying from Orscheln or Tractor Supply.

@farmalarm Nice build. I would just put a few bricks under the back lower rim of the stand which would angle the feeders lower in the front for them to reach. Great video!

I used rebar one mine. Basically made a boxed frame from the rebar welded tabs to to keep the barrel secured. I went 16 inches for height works good!

Or you could use a timber the size of a railroad tie placed in front of the feeder to allow them to step up six to eight inches to accomplish the same thing.

Nice! If it’s cheap or free, I’m all about it! Dollar stores, Goodwill, trash/dumpster diving...ain’t no shame in my game! Repurpose or reuse. And if he can’t build it, well, I guess I haven’t found anything he hasn’t been able to fix/build. I find the materials, he does the work.

Really nice feeder. I wish I could weld! I'm confused how instant travel works... one snap gets you to Orscheln's, but you can get back home without snapping? I've been snapping at the wrong times.
@FarmAlarm
@FarmAlarm 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks mr. President. Oh wait sorry I seen your name said White House. I got confused. I learned how to weld when I was in grade school from an old Machinist. Instant travel is something easily achieved. Maybe I should do a tutorial on it. But you have to snap along with the Andy Griffith theme song.

As long as the wind in your area makes it worthwhile. If not, maybe a weather monitoring system? They can be pretty valuable, depending on natural disasters common in your region / area. How many sections, total?
@FarmAlarm
@FarmAlarm 6 жыл бұрын
Oh now i never thought about a weather station. I like that! 3 sections, with a pole on top of one.
