Once when you rebuild and do a streetport the rx8 becomes not jist reliable but godly

@@lancel.7737 Dude I had 3 rx8 cars. They are fun LITTLE machines, but got no real power. Certainly not by today's standards. Anybody would be an idiot to push the turning limits on public streets. Obviously the public streets are not prepared for racing. Promise you show up to a turning race track in an rx8. Nothing more gonna happen for you then getting constantly lapped. Wake up man...it's got no power. Mazda planned to release the car with around 260 hp vs the 235. I know about this car, and they were ticking time bombs. Obviously 95% of them already blew...lol. The other 5% scared to drive them because they know what is sure to happen.

@@vmoya6631thanks for sharing your experience with them. I currently track a miata so I was thinking of moving up to a rx-8. I drove one at my local a few laps and it was magical. But the ticking time bomb thing scares me as for every owner says this.

Wrong ones in Rx-7FD or any RX-7 for that matter I sure as hell do. But I bought an RX-8 because I loved the look as a child. And I am not disappointed 3 years later🥰

I JUST had a new Mazda Re-manufactured engine put into my 2005 Shinka...I SO wish I could afford to send my car to these guys for all the beautiful exterior work they do.

If I had an rx8, my first thing done would've been to swap the engine and put a REW in it, or a 13bt from an FC S5. Not all rotaries were unreliable, only the RX8's engine.

@@regulus8319 you won't regret it, I sold my cls mercedes to get one and it's so much fun. Good oil changed every 3000 and premix 2 stroke in the highest octane fuel you can get and its great.

an rx8 as a first car is a really bad move but its too late now. Id suggest you join an online rx8 community and find out all the basic mod stuff needed to prolong the life of the car and also to find out minor hacks/maintenance stuff and how to deal with common issues. I would also highly recommend that u get a cheap bucket car for ur daily driver. Like one thats cost 1500-2000 at the most.
