I was all moon eyed on this because I tried to do this and the threads didn't match. Glad to see I'm not crazy because it's like 31/32 of an inch on one end and a different thread form. I have a half dozen giant SS flasks I wanted to do something interesting with but there really isn't anything out there to mate to it. Absolutely hate plumbing.
@BeardedBored2 жыл бұрын
@@SyBernot Yeah, when the first keg was a fail and the second keg arrived but wasn't perfect, took me a second to calm down and make it work. I basically treated it like a press fit and rely on the ptfe tape and flour paste as the real seal.

Ok, so....... my whole life there has been a little bottle in my parents liquor cabinet that my father swears was made by his neighbor in the 60's and the claim was the liquor was made from grass clippings after mowing the lawn. Have you ever heard of someone else or tried making a mash from grass clippings? I can't think of any reason it wouldn't work, avoiding the dog pee ect would b a pain I guess. Lol

I was in heating and air conditioning for 30 years. Folks, if you're hesitating because you're worried about kinking 3/8 or 1/4 inch soft copper, don't be. If you can kink soft copper that small, you're talented. Just do what he said and use something to wrap it around as a form and it will come out perfectly. Easy peazy.

Cheers Jessie. I brew beer so these safety net vids make sense to me. I'd love to keep seeing them pop up occasionally. Knowing a little on how to scale things is helpful - I want to make as much as possible in one go but it's always a balance for time - mashing, fermenting and distilling - So knowing how I can scale to smaller batches for one run helps.
