just wanted to give you some ideas especially for those that are not using templates yet. I keep my template pretty generic so it works with most projects. Maybe you want to take some of these ideas and add to your template.

Question...if anyone has the answer much appreciated. He says in the description he doesn't have individual kick and snare tracks etc ..he prefers to use saved fx chains....I don't know how this works. I would like to access these individual tracks but is there a way to have them hidden as to not clutter the mixer?

All VSTs are parallel in Reaper due to the mix knob in the VST window.

Look through the available layouts for your theme, take note of the exact name Type it into the layout section of the auto color window

Can you combine templates using Reaper? Say I have a drum template and I have a template for everything else. Can I add the drum template or do I need to manually add it piece by piece to the template with everything else?

if they're track templates you can open both, select all and save as a new template or overwrite an old one. If it's project templates you can open both projects and copy + paste tracks, then save as a new template.
