Real life tip: don't buy horses! You need to be born into it so you know what you're doing to make money. Otherwise, like in your situation, it'll only cost you money. With responsibility for wife, children... You're better of in the welding business. Expand that. Tig, aluminium, crane masts/booms, engine block cracks, crankshafts, there's money into that. Specialty work.
