I like this scape! Are you using co2? I have a similar set up with uns controsoil fine grain in black but can’t seem to get decent growth out of my Rotala colorata. Growing at a snails pace haha. I dose nilocg thrive c. In a fluval flex 9g 8 hrs of light. Great videos and glad you have so many sponsors now. I was thinking of starting a you tube channel with George farmer, MD, Jurijs, and you as inspiration!

@@darrenderousse4804 that's awesome man trust me I greatly appreciate all the support! It may be the thrive c causing it to grow so slow. I am using pressurized co2 but I believe thrive c has some glutaraldehyde in it which is basically liquid carbon. So that stuff can cause some real damage if you aren't careful. 🙏❤

Cut a piece of screen door screen to cover the intake slits to the filter. Bend it over the top and down the front into the tank. It’s hardly noticeable and works great. I did it with my Fluval Spec V.

Hi Jay! Have you ever had planaria? If so, how did you tackle the issue? I have some planaria in my tank and used no planaria but it didn’t do the trick. So used panacur, fingers crossed it will work.

Panicur C is what I used. I recommend taking the fish out and over dosing it. That's what did the trick for me. make sure it's crushed up and the most powdery that you can get it so it get all down deep in the substrate. ✌🙂 Good luck!

Rotala Bonsai is doing well in my no co2 no ferts tank. I bought that plant because I felt in love with Ammania Sp. Bonsai and as I don't have co2 so I thought a lookalike would be satisfying. 😄😅

I have a Waterbox 10, with shrimp, and had the same problem with the overflow, shrimp getting into the filter. The solution was to get some medical grade stainless steel (doesn't rust/discolour), and cut a strip to fit into the overflow. Works perfectly. Flow is normal, with a side benefit of small detritus being stopped by the mesh.

Nice tank! C2 is a nice size for cubes, I used one for my shallow tank I just scaped and I have coverage issues (looks nice though). Also I heard this version is going to be obsolete since they got an RGB version of this C2 out now?

They have not mentioned that to me but yes this light is obviously for smaller tanks. I actually like this one more than the rgb. The rgb one looks a little funky for some reason. 🙂🙏

Hi, I really love your videos, also thank you so much for putting so much effort into your work, particularly your informative ones about plants and setups, I've recently set up a planted tank using fluval stratum (as recommended by yourself :)) and all Is well so far, someone I know donated some of their old aquasoil which has gone a little soft, I was wondering if you know any good uses for this, can I use it to top my new aquasoil or will it spoil my set up? For the filter you can use an aluminium net on the inside or you can also try the mosquito nets for the same. You should be able to find one at a electric hardware. If not you can look for plastic mesh on Amazon but this will cost you more than the store. Hope you find one 🙂

Parameters don't necessarily make any plant melt unless there is salt in the water. They can slowly die from a lack of something but melting is different in its self. So don't think parameters think more like the plant is trying to adjust.
