Ex plumber / heating fitter here. There's no need to put thread sealer on a compression fitting, the olive is what provides the seal. If water gets past the olive, it is more likely to leak from the back of the nut. Just put a tiny smear on the front edge of the olive and pipe, only. Don't over-tighten them. 👍
