On this channel I will be documenting my off grid cabin life and how to make life as self reliant as possible. Hello my name is Allen English and I have always enjoyed the outdoors and retired at 58 to live my dream. Along with my cabin build I will document some back packing trips as well as fishing and hunting trips. Some of the ways I will do my build will be old school, but with a mix of modern tools as well. That tractor does the work of 1000 Roman soldiers and the stone roads they built for everlasting, and that must have been bloody hard work. 😊 Stone at a time or the steps to see the end goal. 😊 or a tonnage of gravel. AL?

The gravel won't be used right away except for some of the building that won't wait. Moving stones like the Romans did had to be extremely hard work. I love the tractor it was a smart buy I think. I will be moving some stones for a few planned projects in the future.

It's getting better, but still a dirt road so it will need regular maintenance done to it.

What is the closest town?

Hi Paul, The two towns near me are each 1 hour away. Tonasket & Republic. I live in Tonasket, but way up in the mountains. There is a little town of Wauconda not too far, but it's an old mining town. I'm not sure that there is much there so I have never went to it yet.
