Love seeing this. Wish more people had this attitude. I've got ~15 trees in my front yard, including 3 100+ year old oak trees. I decided a while ago that no work will ever be done on my property without an arborist being involved.

When trees get this big, the need to be cut down and used for lumber. Waiting for them to fall on your new house is stupid. You should then plant trees that man can use, such as fruit and nut trees that will grow into something useful again.

I'm curious as to why with all that room to not just locate the house in a more favorable spot?

Very nice lot and I know you will do a great job with the house but those power / phone lines are really ugly.
