Interesting fact: always if you put the first residential zone in the beginning there will ALWAYS be a fire, to prompt you to build the Firehouse, but it is not needed, the fire will die down and a new building is build even before the people arrive. Just let it burn, otherwise you will burn more money. Especially in the beginning you should slide your police and firehouse budget all the way to the left in your budgetpanel.

I really appreciate how you approached the initial build with more restraint, but i was actually hoping you'd go full Bermuda AKA dirt roads, limit building sizes (zone only 2x3 or 3x4 or even 2x1 areas with spaces in between) discourage car use off the main road (don't connect residences directly to the main area except by walking path maybe? well i guess that's possibly too experimental. I would really like to play with this map too if you can tell me the name of it off the steam workshop. There's a few free workshop items that would fit the town better like a "rural police office" etc. Something to consider i guess in the future/experiment.
