Did a good job considering the difficulty of the cone

Thank.you, With more time, i could have used fiberglass that would have worked better.

I think it looks great, although, yeah, not likely to last more than a season. I was particularly interested in how you curved the wood to make the treads. If you decide to make another try at the nose cone next year, you could make similar ribs but construct them out of 2-inch foam board glued directly together to make a smooth shell. That's what I did to make a curved top for a crypt (about the 1:30 mark in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/i163m3-Gr5esars ). However, the price of rigid foam insulation board is outrageous. I've enjoyed watching your Halloween--and now Christmas--projects.

Thank you, If i had more time, there are a few different ways i could have done it. Foam would have been my first go-to for shaping and weight. Next would have been fiberglass and filler. But the people that will be looking at it won't really notice it, just something i wish would have cooperated more. But you can't win them all right. I just checked out the link that turned out great. The lid turned out well with the cross in it. I like the movement of the lid. It's not just a small side to side it really gets your attention.
