Well at 78years young since seeing your video I have made one planter and three raised beds for growing vegetables. Thanks for making it so easy. Never thought I would be able to make anything like this.

Uses patio table as workbench. I like this guy! Great looking planter boxes. I pre-drilled the boards for the butt joints. Made it a bit less tricky when fastening them together. Only used hand tools, but if you DO have a chop saw, then this project is very approachable.

Great basic planter recipe - I knew those old pallets I was saving would come in useful. Might mitre some 2 x 1/2" to go horizontally across the top. A sage green planter would be good, or one painted with flowers like they do on narrowboats. The possibilities are endless! You've inspired me to have a go.

I have made one like the one in your video and an "L" shaped one. I am hooked now and have a shed full of pallets. I left mine rough and not sanded, and gave the outsides a coat or two of the stuff I used on my fences so it all matches.... Superb thanks again........

No problem, I'm glad it's making you get the pallet bug. 👍

I have a slabbed patio area and have plants in pots. This makes the patio look like the garden department of a DIY store. However, thanks to your pallet planters its starting to look amazing. Cheers.......

I can hardly wait to give these a try. I have a hand saw and I just ordered a drill today. I've never used a drill and I won't receive it until at least 2 weeks or more but I'm pretty confident that I will be able to make these. Will update when I finally give it a try. Thank you for this video 🤗

I had a number of pallets already dismantled. I am a retired pencil pusher and it only took me 1 1/2 hours total (including painting) to build this. 4" x 3/4" for the legs. 3" x 5/8" for everything else. 30mm and 40mm woodchip screws, 4mm drill. Battery drill, battery screwdriver, chop saw and workmate bench. The only down side - She wants another for the other side of the door. Five stars for your design and help. Garth

I think I could skip the sanding altogether, they look nice just assembled & pre-weathered. Maybe a bit of dark stain, if I had the energy. But these are really nice! Thank you for designing these, I think even I could make a couple for my front porch.

I would use bolts with a nut and washer instead of screws to secure the inner boards. Not only would it be easier since you'd want the bolt to come out, but the nut and washer would make sure they are more structurally sound and can be easily tightened up if they get loose over time. I love your design nonetheless and it's easy enough for someone with just small garage and a few tools. Lol
