Building a Patio Chair for Toddlers: Creative DIY Project

Looking to build a patio chair for your toddler? This mini version of the double chair is perfect DIY toddler patio chair. This is a great woodworking project for parents, grandparents, or aunts and uncles to build for their kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews.
The chair is built out of 2x4 boards and 1x4 boards. It's cheap to build and will be the cutest piece of furniture out on the patio.

Thanks! Yeah definitely a fun and easy project :) I made a couple before I got the plan I was happy with and we love it! Fun on the kids picnic table, that'd be super easy and great to have out in the yard. For sure omething I'd like to build. May have to work on a swingset / play house relatively soon for his bday coming up next month haha. We did watch the spring game, saw a tour of the new practice facilities, and are excited for this season and the Matt Rhule era! GBR! Hope all is well man and that you are getting in some golf already. We are headed out this evening for a quick round of 9. Cheers!

I have a couple questions if that is ok. 1) How many 2x's and 1x's are needed ? Would it be easier to get it all cut and drilled and then to stain it prior to completion ? Definitely thinking about maing this for my nephew

You bet! Four 2x4 boards and four 1x4 boards were used for this project. The cost for wood was right at $51 when this was built. You can certainly do all the cuts at once to be as efficient as possible. I sometimes recommend for beginners to do it as they go in case a cut is made incorrectly so they don't cut the whole batch wrong, but for anyone with a little woodworking experience under their belt definitely cut and then assemble. It's a fun project that goes together quickly. You really could build quite a few in a weekend if you wanted too :) Holler if you have any other questions!
