When Jim made that comment about (having all the cool gear now but it didn’t matter) I think he said, I can relate, having nice guitars and pedals now but wishing I had 20 years ago when I was in high school jamming with friends lol

That’s trippy you guys have crossed paths with Paul Sidoti. I have listened to you guys for years and him with Taylor. I’m a massive Swiftie who loves Metal, Country and D’n’b. I love good music. Paul plays live, I have seen him twice with Taylor. He uses a Fractal rig with Shure wireless. I love the fact he brings his EVH guitars out on tour. Have also seen him use a Ibanez Iceman. Love seeing two dudes shoot the breeze making something!!! ❤❤❤

I recently decided to build a compact pedal board also and started with the Seymour Duncan power stage 170 and the new Universal Audio Anti 1992 High gain amp pedal, it is a wicked pedal Rob! Always great seeing Jim on the channel again!

You guys are hilarious. Hoping you guys go on a tour with the metalcore kings that started it all. Chimaira, Shadows Fall, God Forbid and maybe KsE as a headliner. Gotta show these kids where it all started!
@samfromsalem2 ай бұрын
I think I would just Velcro the entire board instead of bit by bit. It saves time and makes it ready to reconfigure easier. Then you can put that roll away and not risk getting the Velcro mixed up when you’re putting it on the pedals.

Jim! Try a Darkglass Infiniti, it would be your preamp, Drive , compressor,tuner and DI/CabSim. All you would need is the wireless and Pitchfork.

RE the tuner: Not even sure Planet Waves exists anymore as a separate brand. Don't know when D'Addario stopped using it, but I believe everything guitar-related is sold just as D'Addario these days.

Hey Rob I'm having a problem with palm alternate muting I'm holding my pick the way you do and when I'm doing it I seem to keep stopping midway through (I use the Orange tortex pick) I've tried play muting hard but it sounds horrible then I'm missing notes but when I mute soft it sounds much better but my pick ends up falling outta my hand I'm always playing the same style of riff all the time in drop d I'm using D F and G no other notes go good together and I'm always tuning up tuning down breaking strings trying to find that perfect rock metal tuning. My favourite power chords are D# E and C# F# A

I think you may be thinking about it the wrong way! Lemme ask you this, on a scale of 1 to 10, how big of a Metallica fan are you?
@bobaseed44232 ай бұрын
@@RobArnoldWorld Honestly about 7.5 outta 10 I prefer pantera alot more and your band cause it's got that low d standard ish tone
@RobArnoldWorld2 ай бұрын
@@bobaseed4423 Gotcha. Ok so while I like to use Metallica as the best example, Pantera and Chimaira will certainly apply! My advice is this... Just take 2 or 3 of your absolute FAVORITE songs, and learn them note for note. MASTER them. It may take awhile, but it will be worth it. In my opinion, THAT'S how you learn to riff. And I can say that with confidence and authority, because that's exactly how I did it! 🤘🎸
@bobaseed44232 ай бұрын
@@RobArnoldWorld Yeah I remember the better to be musician video about that I really just don't want to sound like the artist I'm learning from you know what i mean? I was told I could be the next ozzy because I'm crazy enough so maybe I might become a singer too I'm not sure but you're amazing like fr my celebrity idol I'm a massive ozzy fan when I'm drunk especially rn but a big reason why I wanted to learn guitar was to get chicks idk if it's true anymore but fr I love being looked at like a god and to me you're my celebrity guitar god 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

The wobble you hear is because you are hearing the strings of the bass. Once you become louder than the strings of the bass you will not hear it.

My favorite videos like this. Love you guys, but I’m actually not impressed with this build. Because the jack that goes into the tuner input probably will be broken soon by someone foot, cause it’s lefts out of the board. It’s not the best idea. Cheers anyway!
