Love the removable dowels for the top! I have moved a ton of furniture and having a removable top is a necessity. And the fact that you don't need tools to do it is great!

Very nice table and great video. At 15:51, I see the steel braces underneath. Did you end up with cupping/warping over time, or was that just a precaution?

13:16 I don't think that screw went into the base pedestal at all, or more than a 1/4" in any case. May be enough to keep it from being kicked out sideways by an errant foot, though.
